Helping Hand Bags started fundraising in 2012 and has donated over $25,000 so far to assist two young families faced with the trauma of cancer, to assist children with additional needs attending Bonbeach Primary School and most recently, to raise enough funds to assist a family to obtain a Companion Dog from "Dogs for Kids with Disabilities".
Robyn, who is the founder of Helping Hand Bags received a cancer diagnosis herself back in September 2017 and her journey came to an end way to early on Tuesday 16th January. Her family, comprising of her husband Gary, and daughters Georgina and Kelly, will continue her quest to help others in need with the assistance of the wider community when purchasing her hand-made bags.
Robyn wanted the focus of future fundraising to be directed towards research into children's cancers and to assist those going through this battle through the the Children's Cancer Foundation.
Quoting from their website;
The Children's Cancer Foundation was founded by parents who fought for their children to be allowed to be children. After all, a sick child is still a child, and there isn't one child who doesn't delight in play and laughter and singing and dancing.
The Children's Cancer Foundation is a group of committed individuals funding clinical research, clinical care and, crucially, family support programs. It is our simple goal to add light to young lives; to let children shine, now and in the future
Our Mission: To enable children with cancer to access the world’s best treatment and support and to build awareness of childhood cancer in the community and within governments. The Children’s Cancer Foundation supports families through treatment, partners with hospitals to deliver clinical excellence and builds world-class paediatric cancer clinical research.

With your support by purchasing one of Robyn’s bags and sharing the Helping Hand Bags website with your friends, her aim of raising funds can continue. The cost of a bag is $25 each (plus postage cost when required). All bags are hand-made from quality upholstery/linen or thermal backed fabric, or cotton-lined with strong durable handles in a range of designs. They are approximately 33.5cm wide and 38cm long and they make a wonderful present as the bags come with their own label and swing tag and are nicely presented … a wonderful present for that “hard to buy for” person.
100% of profits will be donated to the Children's Cancer Foundation as no personal profit is made in selling these bags other than the personal satisfaction of being able to help others.
Please view the photos of available items under the headings on the top of each page and feel free to contact us by email via the Contact Form below or call Kelly on 0412 150 359 if you have a query or wish to place an order.
Thank-you
